Superb acoustic rendition of Eric Legnini’s “If Only for a Minute” with the suave Hugh Coltman on vocals.
Angelo Debarre and Ludovic Beier playing a mad Caravan. It doesn’t get any better than this…
A prescient new tune by Sanseverino in his new western manouche swing style. It’s about the end of the world in 2012.
My favourite Ray Brown album is Bam, Bam, Bam! recorded live in ‘88 with Gene Harris on piano and Jeff Hamilton on drums. The two highlights are Harris’ Summertime and this Night in Tunisia where Hamilton totally rocks. I so wish I could get this on DVD… Does anyone know if it’s available in Japan ?
While we’re into picking, Marcel Dadi is another guy who gets my vote. His swing and nonchalance were second to none. He sadly passed away on the TWA 800 plane crash out of NYC in the 90s.
If there is a heaven, that’s where the Oscar Peterson Trio is swinging, and methinks this is what it sounds like!
