Rowan Atkinson went on to use his talents for visual comedy in Mr. Bean, but this predates bean and (in my opinion) is much more subtle and funny.
How could I ever miss this? Hilarious!
Excellent Rowan Atkinson classic with a better ending than on the 1980s video.
Hilarious interview of Elton John by Rowan Atikinson.
I won’t say old comedy is the best comedy but… well actually… Anyway, Rowan Atkinson and John Cleese. Hilarious.
I’ve just discovered this late incarnation of the Blackadder dynasty!
I remember seeing this in the mid-90s, after having lived in the UK for a couple of years and being a frequent customer of Indian restaurants (as close as a ‘traditional British cuisine’ as you’ll ever find…) It’s not only a hilarious sketch but totally nails both the odd relationship between heroically patient Indian waiters tending on obnoxious drunk customers and the weird internal dynamics of the Indian restaurant itself (I love the contrast between the obsequiousness when talking to the customers and the aggresiveness when talking to the personel…)
Anyway, this is a classic, must see.
Hugh Laurie and Rowan Atkinson - Shakespeare - 1989
Too many people think that Hugh Laurie only ever was House and that Rowan Atkinson only ever was Mr. Bean. When in fact they both were and are amazing comic geniuses, as this sketch of them together playing Shakespeare (Laurie) and his Editor (Atkinson) perfectly demonstrates!
